Friends here today we will talk about the server. A server is nothing but a network of Computer connected with each others through internet or radio signals. Normally we heard only about two type of computers, the first Desktop Computers, and second one Server Computers. The desktop computers can be buy from any online or offline store. But in Server Computers case you can't buy them directly.

A normal computer is so cheap so any one can buy, but server computers are so expensive. A server is a machine or computer that can communicate with it's clients and a server runs 24/7  all time, that's why you search anything on google because Google's servers run every time.

Server Software -

Normally the computers we use that use some company's Operating Systems like- Windows, macOS, Linux, etc. But these operating systems can be used as Server Computers. Operating System means that a software that runs on a Computer and provides a normal or advanced service to the user. Even our small Computer or laptop also can be converted in server computer after doing some settings.

Type of Server-

There is a lot of server and different type of server. 

1. Web Servers -  Web servers is normal type of computers that is to run a website. It works for request of HTML, CSS type of files to show a website. In this process a Browser works like a client.

2. Application Severs - It is another widely use server type, in this type server, server sends information to application on request. This server is used by internet applications.

3. Proxy Servers - This type of server use to request to another server, like from one server to another. 

4. Mail Server - This type server used in receiving and sending Email through servers between users on the particular domain.

There are also more server that is not defined here but these were important servers, that is widely use. 

System Hardware -

A server computer is made of so many different components and sub-components at the hardware level, Servers are typically made of one or more CPU, Memory Storage, network interface, Power supply modules, Memory, etc. 

Operating System - 

The most important part of servers is Operating System like - Windows, Linux, that operating system provides a platform to run application and website. The operating system enables application t access to hardware of server computers. Operating System controls the components of computer and provides the service for us.
